Infant / Toddler Teacher: Nurture Our Littlest Learners

Do you have a special gift for caring for infants and toddlers? Are you inspired by the thought of guiding babies through their first year of incredible growth and discovery? If you are a warm, patient, and loving caregiver, Laurel Play Gardens invites you to join our team.

We are seeking a dedicated Infant / Toddler Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating “home away from home” for our youngest children (ages 6 weeks to 18 months). As a vital member of our infant program, you’ll provide gentle, responsive care, support crucial developmental milestones, and build trusting relationships with babies and their families. If you’re passionate about delivering the highest quality of care, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Loving Care: Tend to the individual needs of each infant, including feeding, diapering, and comforting, with a gentle and responsive touch.
  • Create a Nurturing Space: Foster a calm, clean, and safe environment where infants feel secure and can freely explore.
  • Encourage Discovery: Engage babies in developmentally appropriate activities like tummy time, sensory play, reading simple board books, and singing to stimulate their growing minds.
  • Track Milestones: Observe and document each infant’s unique development, celebrating every new skill and sharing these moments with parents.
  • Partner with Parents: Build strong, trusting relationships with families through clear and compassionate daily communication, providing updates and serving as a supportive resource.
  • Ensure Health & Safety: Meticulously follow all state licensing standards (Title 22) for health, safety, and sanitation.

What You’ll Need:

  • Education: A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, with at least 3 units specifically in Infant/Toddler Development & Care.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience working directly with infants in a licensed childcare facility.
  • A Nurturing Spirit: A deep sense of patience, compassion, reliability, and a genuine love for caring for babies.
  • Clearances: Ability to pass a background check (LiveScan fingerprinting) and provide proof of a negative TB test, health screening, and required immunizations (MMR, Tdap).
  • Certifications: Current Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • A Rewarding Role: Experience the immense joy and fulfillment of being a pivotal part of a baby’s first year.
  • A Culture of Support: Join a team that truly values you and is committed to your professional growth in a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Beautiful Environment: Work in a facility designed to be a peaceful and engaging space for our littlest learners.
  • Professional Growth: We provide ongoing training and development to help you excel in your career.
  • A Positive Team: Be part of a school dedicated to providing top-quality care in a fun and respectful setting.
