About the Role

As an Infant Care Specialist, you will play a key role in nurturing and engaging infants in developmentally appropriate activities such as art, circle time, bubbles, and exploratory play. Your goal is to create a safe, joyful, and enriching environment that supports early learning and fosters curiosity from the start. You’ll provide attentive care, communicate regularly with families, and—most importantly—have fun!

Key Responsibilities

• Engage infants in age-appropriate, stimulating activities that promote early development 
• Ensure each child’s needs are met with care, patience, and timeliness 
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at all times 
• Communicate daily with parents regarding their child’s routines, milestones, and experiences 
• Support daily care routines including diapering, feeding, and hygiene 
• Collaborate with fellow caregivers and team members to deliver high-quality care 
• Adhere to licensing regulations and safety protocols 
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional training 
• Follow and implement developmentally appropriate practices 
• Act as a mandated reporter in compliance with child welfare laws 
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Lead Teachers, Director, or Assistant Directors 

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 ECE units, including:
  • Child Growth and Development or Human Growth and Development 
  • Child, Family, and Community or Child and Family 
  • Program/Curriculum 
  • 3 semester units specifically in Infant Care 
• CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred) 
• Prior experience in a licensed infant care or childcare setting 
• A passion for working with infants and toddlers 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $22.89 – $23.74 per hour 
• Expected Hours: 40 per week 
• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 4 or 8-hour shifts
