About the Role
As a Preschool Teacher Aide, you’ll be an important part of our daily operations, directly assisting with classroom activities and ensuring a safe and nurturing space for our preschoolers. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and transitions.
- Help prepare and organize materials for creative and developmentally appropriate lessons, crafts, music, and hands-on activities.
- Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and nap times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support children in developing social-emotional skills and resolving minor conflicts.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
- Help track individual child progress and communicate observations to lead teachers.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff members to ensure a smooth and positive classroom flow.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and licensing regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children in a group setting (e.g., daycare, babysitting, volunteer work) is a plus.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- CPR Certification (preferred, but training can often be provided).
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Courses or an interest in Early Childhood Education are a strong advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position with an expected 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on 8-hour shifts.
